Hello and welcome to my web pages. Firstly a little bit about myself; My name is Lawrence Desmond and I moved to Devon from the South East in 1978. My interest in photography was not born until sometime later in 1991 at the once famous RMB Chivenor Air days, I then went on to go to the local colleges to do evening classes in photography and achieve 4 City and Guilds and 1 A level.
There have been several books published with some of my work in it, namely the history of Barnstaple, both volumes, any of the Barnstaple in bloom publications pre 2000, some in the local press, the V.E and V.J. day celebrations in the year of 1995 -I took some 800 photographs doing that job and am pleased to say you can see all of them at the North Devon Records Office in Barnstaple.
So it is with great pleasure that I share some of my work with you. On this page you will see some photographs that I took of “The Festival of Masks” whilst on holiday in the most wonderful Italian city of Venice. These photographs where taken in the last two weeks of February in 2006 using a Canon EOS20d with a 17-40mm F4 L lens. You can find out more about the Venice Carnival here.
I am selling copies of the photographs in three main sizes, these are 7"x5" at £5.99 10"x8" at £10.99 10”x15” at £19:99. All prices include free postage and packing. All sizes will be in a Matt finish as this is the best way to display them. Keep your eyes on my pages as you never know there might be something you like.
